Vantage Hunt

Terms of Use

Effective October 24, 2026

These terms apply to the Vantage Hunt app, provided by Giuseppe Di Salvatore ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them, and to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which also applies.

1. A guide, not the law

Vantage Hunt summarizes public information — management unit boundaries, the BC Hunting & Trapping Regulations Synopsis, closures, LEH zones, wildfire and weather — to help you plan. It is not a legal document, isn't affiliated with the Province of British Columbia, and can be incomplete, simplified or out of date (for example, boundaries are simplified and regulations change in season).

You are responsible for knowing and following the law — the Wildlife Act, its regulations, the official synopsis and any in-season changes, closures, firearm restrictions and private-property rules. When it matters, check the official sources the app links to.

2. Safety

Trip check-ins, tracks, party locations and messages depend on your phone, battery, GPS and signal, and on other people. They are not an emergency or rescue service and may fail. Always leave a trip plan with someone you trust, carry the right gear, and in an emergency call 911 or use a satellite messenger or emergency beacon.

3. Party rules

Party is for your hunting group. When you use it, you agree not to post or send anything that is:

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report a message or person (long-press a message, or tap ⋯ next to a member), and block anyone. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, remove people from parties, or delete accounts that break these rules. Whoever starts a party can remove members.

4. Your content

You own what you post (names, pins, messages). You give us permission to store and show it to the members of your party so the feature works. You can delete it at any time.

5. Using the app

Don't misuse the app or its services — for example by trying to access other people's parties, interfering with the service, or scraping it. Map data © Mapbox © OpenStreetMap contributors. Government data is used under the Open Government Licence – British Columbia. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0).

6. No warranty; limit of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for fines, penalties, injury or property loss arising from your reliance on the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be waived.

7. Changes and ending

We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app. You can stop using the app at any time and delete your data from More → Delete my data.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
